I write from my Personal Experience with The Holy Spirit: The Spirit of Truth. It’s my testimony. If God could be that faithful to me and did it for me, He can do it for you too, beloved reader. God is no respecter of persons. If you choose to follow His leading, God would show Himself faithful to you.
THE MYSTERY BEHIND MARRYING RIGHT
You probably have heard of the word, mystery. However, when people talk about mystery, what goes to your mind? What do we really call, mysteries?
Mysteries are those things that are hidden and remain invisible or unknown. Without revelation, mysteries can not be unhidden. Mysteries of the kingdom are revealed to those who are faithful, obedient, and have proven worthy in things pertaining to God and His work. As Christians, we are given the Bible which is the word of God and the Holy Spirit to guide and direct us.
Marrying Right on the other hand means getting married to a person ordained or chosen by God for your life.
It is important for us to know that in as much as God gives us the freedom to make choices, He is also interested in the choices we make because He doesn’t want us to make mistakes. As a result of His abundant love for us, He gave us the Holy Spirit, John 14:15-17. Jesus stated in verse 17 of John 14 that the Holy Spirit lives in us and will be in us, therefore, as a result of this divine gift we received, we are given the privilege to make the right choices when we patiently allow Him to choose for us.
“However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into the whole truth…” John 16:13. The flesh alone can not profit us therefore we must constantly allow the spirit of God (Holy Spirit) to guide us into making the right choices.
Get Married To The Holy Spirit As A Single
As a single that is looking up to what God has in store for you, there is a need for you to get married to the Holy Spirit before you can discover God’s will (spouse) for you.
While I was growing up, I saw the need for Jesus and I gave my life to Him. As a young lady at that time, I was loved by most of my colleagues while in Secondary School. In the long run, I entered into a relationship with one of my classmates without bothering to pray about it. When the relationship was just a week, it ended as fast as it started because this brother in question was demanding that we take the relationship to the next level which will, in turn, encourage kissing, caressing, and sex in the long run.
Be Intentional About Marrying Right
Although I didn’t pray before entering the relationship, I understood the signal immediately and ended the relationship because I knew it isn’t meant for me. Any relationship that will not encourage godliness is not healthy for any child of God.
As young as I was, I prayed to God and I told Him “Father, please make the next relationship I will enter into the one that will lead to marriage and it should be with the man You have ordained for me”. As young as I was then, I chose not to be ignorant of God’s leading, and believe me, you can also pray that prayer if you are still waiting on God for His will, you have to be intentional about marrying right.
The Spirit Knows What Is Best For You
However, the man I married today didn’t show up immediately after I prayed that prayer, but despite all the interests some men showed, Holy Spirit was actively giving me signs of “wait the right one is still coming”. Holy Spirit might be speaking to you right now even as you are reading this article that you should wait, don’t ignore His voice, but wait, this is because He knows what is best for you.
The Holy Spirit is given to us as a helper. In John 14:26, Jesus was speaking to His disciples, He said “the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, He will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you”. He (Holy Spirit) is our helper, He will teach and remind us of all that we have been told. Allowing the Holy Spirit to teach and direct us is very important because, through His perfect Spirit, mistakes and errors in the choice of partner will be avoided.
Waiting On The Spirit Of God
A lot of people today choose not to wait because they believe it takes time, hence; they set standards for themselves by defining the type of spouse they want. Some women want tall/short, dark/fair, rich, presentable men, therefore, anything below their expectations is not good for them. We are free to set standards of the spouse we want for ourselves, but we should not also forget that God gives good things to His children, Matthew 7:11, Luke 11:13.
In Samuel 16:1-13, when God told prophet Samuel to go to the house of Jesse and anoint whom He choose as King, He (Samuel) saw Eliab and the Bible says he conceived in his heart that “surely the Lord’s anointed stands here before the Lord” but God told him, do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). Setting standards is good but your standards must align with the will of God. You can not recognize His will if you operate in the flesh but through the help of the Holy Spirit.
